Waiting For Home: Interview with Richard Prangley
Richard is a survivor of the Coldwater State Home and Training Center. He was deemed as an "imbecile, and a retard" and was essentially treated as though he could never be a functional member of society. However, Richard was bound and determined to prove everyone wrong. Richard was later released from the Coldwater State Home and Training Center and became an advocate for the mental health community. Richard's story and his persistence changed the system. Richard's book about his time in the Coldwater State Home and Training Center and his life beyond can be read in his book "The Richard Prangley Story Waiting for Home." It can be found on Amazon.
